Background: Providing comprehensive care to elderly women undergoing hysterectomy requires a holistic approach, addressing both physical and psychological needs. Involving family members can be beneficial. Caregivers who take care of older women undergoing hysterectomy have a heavy burden that can detrimentally affect their physical health and emotional well-being. As social media becomes substantially pervasive in daily life, it can be used for enhancing information and emotional support of caregivers, which consequently impacts elderly patients' outcomes. Aim: To determine the effect of social-platform nursing guidelines on emotional status among caregivers caring for elderly women undergoing hysterectomy. Design: To accomplish this study a quasi-experimental research design (pre and post) test was used. Settings: The study was conducted at Sohag City-Egypt. Sample: A purposive sample of 200 caregivers caring for elderly women undergoing hysterectomy was obtained from social media such as Facebook and WhatsApp groups, 2021 which the online Google form spreadsheet was opened from the first day of June 2021 to the end of June 2021, it was closed.
